Job Type: Part-time (up to 29 hours per week)

SALARY: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour (Depending on site, not experience)

No experience necessary, but it’s a plus. We train!

We are seeking reliable and trustworthy unarmed Security Officers to join the ACT Security Group team! The selected individuals will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. State guard licensing assistance available.

General Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Observe and report.
• Ability to conduct hourly patrols of the client site.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn and report violators of premise rules and regulations.
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water.
• Request emergency personnel as needed.
• Provide timely reports.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate in English proficiently.

Guard Licensing Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have or be able to be licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security. We can assist with the application process and state required examination.
• No Felony convictions 10 years from conviction date, Class A misdemeanors 5 years from conviction date and Class B misdemeanors 2 years from the conviction date involving crimes of moral turpitude. Learn more at Texas Administrative Code (state.tx.us)

Outdoor Retail (Slaughter/ I-35):

Sunday through Tuesday, 5:00pm - 1:00am 

24 hours per week

Wage: $18.00 per hour 
 

Retail Center (Airport & Lamar)* 

Sunday, Thursday and Saturday, 7:00pm - 1:00am

15 hours per week
Wage: $17.00 per hour 
*Company vehicle provided and must have valid drivers license. 

Warehouse (E. Ben White/ Oltorf):
Sunday through Thursday, 10:00pm - 6:00am
40 hours per week
$16.90 per hour + .10/hr phone compensation*
*Must have a mobile phone
