Unarmed Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Conduct hourly patrols
• Examine doors, windows, and gates for proper function and security
• Warn and report violators of premise rules and regulations
• Report facility issues such as fire hazards and leaks
• Request emergency personnel as needed
• Provide timely and detailed reports
• Communicate proficiently in English
• Observe and report activities (no arrests or apprehensions)

Unarmed Security Guard Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle report
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to obtain Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security License (assistance provided)
• Clean criminal record: No felony convictions in the last 10 years, Class A misdemeanors in the last 5 years, or Class B misdemeanors in the last 2 years involving crimes of moral turpitude. (Learn more at Texas Administrative Code)

• 8-hour shifts
• 16-hour shift
• Mid shifts
• Overnight shift
• Morning shift
• Weekends

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
