Job Types: Flex Officer (FT or PT)

SALARY: $18.00 per hour (If a Flex Officer is covering a site with a pay rate more than $18 an hour, they will receive site pay)

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, but it’s a plus. We train!

We are seeking flexible, available and reliable unarmed Security Officers to join the ACT Security Group team! The selected individuals will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. State guard licensing assistance available.

Responsibilities:

  • Able to pick up shifts as needed of open posts offered to you.
  • It is mandatory that Flex Officers work at least 3 days a week.
  • Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
  • Observe and report.
  • Provide timely reports
  • Ability to conduct hourly patrols.
  • Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
  • Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water.
  • Request emergency personnel as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate in English proficiently.

On Call:

  • Type One - Weekly Rotation. On Call Flex Officers will trade every other week to be on call.
  • Type Two - Limited Flex. LF Officers must report to the Operations Manager monthly of their On Call availability. 
  • It is mandatory that Flex Officers work at least 3 days a week whether part time or full time. 

Guard Licensing Qualifications:

  • Texas Private Security License preferred.
  • One year or more of security experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have or be able to be licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security. We can assist with the application process and state required examination.
  • No Felony convictions 10 years from conviction date, Class A misdemeanors 5 years from conviction date and Class B misdemeanors 2 years from the conviction date involving crimes of moral turpitude. Learn more at Texas Administrative Code (state.tx.us)
